=O This post sucks but I wanted in on the action. XD

Bris froze as the call rang through Dahlia de Mai. She'd spent the preceeding hours doing her usual border patrol duty, a task which as usual found the young woman in her more energy efficient lupine form. Her mood had been generally good-natured throughout her rounds, as her sleep hadn't been haunted by the visage of Hybrid for several nights now. She'd been awaking from her slumber feeling rested lately, rather than ragged and exhausted. The border duty for the day had become more of a pleasant outing, and Bris had headed back toward Wolfville with a song in her heart.

Yet the moment Conor's voice had rung out across the packlands, Bris had made a beeline in his direction. Something or someone had threatened Dahlia, and that was all the information the white Stormbringer needed. A rumble instantly rose in her throat as the ground disappeared in lengths beneath her feet.

The Dahlian heard the commotion before she saw it. Her hackles stiffened, her growl rising in volume as she stopped beside her half-grown nephew. The stranger smelled foreign, and Bris wrinkled her nose as she stood her ground. As the second-smallest wolf amongst the Dahlians, Bris knew there wasn't much she could do other than guard Gideon and act as backup. At least, that was her intention. Yet when she saw the stranger make a move to snap for Conor's leg, Bris sprang for him. Fangs bared and eyes blazing with indignation and anger, the shewolf's attack was aimed at the offender's neck and shoulder. She wanted to distract him from his current target.
