The cliff looked like the perfect place. Jasper approached it in a weary fashion, dragging his legs as he made his way toward the ledge. Once there, he leaned forward some, peering down with oddly colored eyes, checking to see just how far it went. A good tumble, no one was likely to survive it. After a moment of just staring, the blonde male seated himself with a soft groan, letting his legs hang over the edge. The sun was just beginning to go down, casting multi-colored streaks of light through the broad sky, and Jasper had come to be witness to it all. That, and it was more unlikely that someone he knew would find him in the place.

The area around his eyes and cheeks was swollen, the fur moist and matted down. His hair, usually well kept, had fallen victim to neglect. It was tangled and dirty, shooting out in awkward directions randomly, and the boy didn't seem to care. To much had happened over the past week for him to really bother caring about how he looked. It was quite obvious that he'd been crying. A lot. Even now, as he simply sat and watched, there was a faint shimmer of tears in his eyes and a very obvious catch in his chest as he breathed. He just wanted it all to go away, it had even crossed his mind that it would have all gone away had he just leaned forward a little more. Jasper was to much of a coward for that, though.
