Oran's ears swiveled toward the dark male as he spoke, his tone gruff. The pale Optime risked a quick glance around at the surrounding forest, searching for hidden people in the trees, but, for the moment at least, they were gone. His eyes quickly returned to the male, searching for any sign that he was one of them, but other than a pair of elbows on his knees, there had been no movement. Straightening up quickly and trying to pretend the male hadn't caught him running for his life in the middle of nowhere, Oran turned his face away, crossing his arms. Pfft, who's hiding?

Sometimes he really hated that he had to give up his advantages at times to appear "normal", but it didn't prevent him from slipping from the tree line, edging into the clearing just enough so that it was very clear he had not been hiding. He was just...out for a run. Oran's ears flicked again as the dark male continued, and he frowned, stretching his neck at an odd angle so that he could keep his head turned to the side and still have his eye on the stranger. What makes you think I think you'll hurt me? He snorted, and tried not to think about how confusing that sentence was to say. It made perfect sense in his head...

Oran spent another moment eying the male, and then turned a bit, ready to take off again--he didn't know how much of a lead he had, he didn't have time for chit-chat--when the male spoke again, and struck a chord. Food. When was the last time he'd remembered to eat? Albeit, there had been that time after he'd been called a coward, but he'd been too angry to do more than skin it and play with the meaty bones. Food would be good right about now...

But did he want the company? Oran hesitated, then gave a one-shouldered shrug, edging somewhat closer to the dark male as inconspicuously as possible. Sounds good. He gave a cocky grin, swishing his tail lightly, and tilted his head in a little mock-bow. Name's Oran.
