we didn't start the fire

sorry for the wait. I've been a bit caught up in my school work. WC: 517 {5 points}

Sanyue’s life was taking a turn for the better. She was finally getting more settled in to her new home and had something much nicer to lay on. She was thankful to the powers that be for giving her the luck to catch some prey and being able to skin their furs for a nice bed. Although the den still seemed a bit empty, the hybrid was sure there would be some things around the pack lands that she could use for decoration. A small smile came on her face as she curled up on the bed of skins. It still wasn’t exactly comfortable, but it was much better than before. She wanted to find something she could lay her head on or she would have to sleep in her lupus form. It wasn’t that the she coyote didn’t mind being in her lupus form, but it was such a pain switching between forms. She was not born a luperci and thus it took longer for her body to change. With a soft sigh, the hybrid closed her eyes in an attempt to take a nap.

Her ears flicked as the wind began to pick up inside her home. Although her thick fur was helping, it was still getting cold. Her eyes slowly opened as she noticed some leaves pass by the entrance of the den. The coyote stretched out her sore body before crawling towards the entrance. As she looked to the darkened skies, she remembered the nights she spent with her foster family, staring at the rain as she hid with her brothers from the lighting that flashed in the sky. Now that she was getting older, she was amazed by the beauty of lightning and longed to see it appear in the sky once more. Her attention turned to the darker clouds on the horizon. There was a big storm coming and she knew the Great Fire would not last if she didn’t go there to help it. The hybrid made her way out of her home and brushed the dirt off her skirt before swiftly making her way towards the village. Niyol was still wandering around in his field, although the coyote ignored this. Her companion was a wild stallion and was sure he would be alright in the rain.

Considering there was no protection for the Great Fire from the rain, she looked around for something to use to protect it from the rain. There didn’t seem like much to use, but she had to think of something before the rain came or the flame might have been lost. She made her way to the village to find another wolf by the seat of the Great Fire. It was a brown wolf with a tan stripe going all the way down her back. She was tending to the fire as well. Did this mean that she too was a Gata Hineyu? She approached the wolf while she was getting some of the logs and helped her out. ”Hello. Are you one of the Gata Hineyu’s here in the tribe as well?”
