Mighty Paws

ooc: Mala out! <3

Her rounded ears twitched, and a knowing smile stretched across her muzzle when she felt the pup bat at her back leg. Malachi swiveled her head around to see Denali start running away from her, though it was obvious even as he departed that he was tired. The creature's body turned, and only had to take a few big steps to catch him, and when she did she picked him up by the scruff. "Go'cha!" Was all she could say, muffling through his fur.

With him in her jaws, she carefully waddled down to the beach and gently put the pup back where she found him - where they originally met. As she let him go, she took a couple steps back and sat down with a large thud!, lowering the front half of her body until her muzzle rested on the sand, accompanied by a big paw on each side. "I think it's time for you to head home, little mighty paws," she said. She was sure he wouldn't fight it, either, and her warm smile radiated even as the last traces of sun disappeared. "Thanks for playing with me today." It was a sign of gratitude that even the pup wouldn't come to understand, but today, Malachi made a big leap, figuratively speaking, and all it took was a pair of little, but mighty, paws.
