this kinda sucks, i'm sorry =/

He left for a few months. Why, he didn't know. That question couldn't be answered just like the ones he had carried before. He held a mystery, even to himself. Gaël was smart. He had the street smart, at least, to roam around as a loner. Though the thought of being completely alone besides the clothes he wore and the guitar he loved, wasn't something he liked to accept completely. Being independent was one thing, but a good chat and some company was another.

His turquoise eyes narrowed. The sun was slowly setting along the horizon. He'd soon have to find somewhere to settle for the night. Glancing, he spotted the cavern not far off. It would be an okay spot to rest for a moment. The first time he had come to Batons et Pierres he found himself in a village. His body still remembered where it was. He inhaled a breath before starting towards the cavern.

An anxious hand stretched forward, gripping the side of the cave as he took a quick look in. He wasn’t nervous about others being here, no, it was just if he could trust the actual place or not. Pulling himself up, he stepped into the caverns. This place didn’t seem as comforting as he hoped. A frown curled on his lips as he moved his right hand over the cold stone.

His ears perked, a howling sound echoed through the caves, immediately alerting him. Gaël hadn’t noticed his broad shoulders tensing until he glanced to the side. Shifting awkwardly, he relaxed and took a few daring steps into the darkness before him.

There was something interesting about the place, it lead him onwards, searching through only to find dead ends or sudden turns. A hand was always on the side of the wall. Being unable to see, he relied on his other senses. Luckily, they weren’t at all that dull. The morte dre Soul was comfortable for now.

He found himself closing his eyes, blinking them a few times before they were completely closed. Although, the gentle giant found it almost weird as if he was walking upon a mere cloud with no sense of direction instead of within a maze of a cavern.

The scent of another being caught his attention. His turquoise eyes flickered open, staring forward but seeing nothing. Perhaps this was what a blind man saw. If so, blind men and women just earned his respect. It was strange as if one had to fear anything that moved, anything they smelt or heard. His hand slowly inched along the side of the wall before the paused in his tracks. The smell of blood overwhelmed him.

Tightening his eyes, he strained to at least get some kind of glance at whoever – or whatever for that matter – was before him. The hybrid wished he had a match or even a lighter… anything would work. He’d see the face in front of him without worry. Or maybe he really shouldn’t even desire to know.
