She was quickly getting into a comfortable pace, her slender limbs quickly carrying her muscular body along. Soon she would get to the broken, overgrown concrete road ultimately leading into the city. Her slim muzzle sought the earth every now and then to investigate the scents of the world around her, and large ears moved constantly in pursuit of sound not a part of the white background noise. It was silly to worry as she did. Yet perhaps she was not as observant and careful as she thought. Her thoughts reeled her away from the present, and so the discovery of the invasive presence of the other was well delayed.
Eventually though, she discovered the stranger’s scent and turned her head to gaze into those hazel eyes watching her from distance. Her response was automatic; white canines flashing in silent hostility. A wolf, of course. She turned around fully and attempted to pierce him with her cherry gaze, dark copper tail flicking back and forth in distaste. There was not a sound from the male and if the silence was dragged out for all its worth it would definitely make her horribly uncomfortable. It was not that Halo Lykoi feared his gender, but she had a critical way of seeing the world, and it was a very ugly place. Itachi had been born out of sin, and that bastard guilty of turning her life upside down was still out there.
She hated not knowing.
