600+ words. Backdated to October 28th, set on the Shattered Coast! Private for Niro~ Let drama begin again!!

It had been three months since she had visited the beach near the Cour des Miracles’ territory, and it had been a month since the product of that night had arrived. Lolita stood outside the large Victorian house she had begun to call home, the three small puppies romping in the grass by her feet. They were awfully young, and it was very early in the morning, but the creamy woman thought that this journey was necessary. It had been a struggle for her, as she had not known whether or not she even wanted to tell Niro that these children were his. The dead woman had wanted to keep them all to herself and forget about the male that had sired them, but she knew that was not at all fair to him.

“Girls,” Lolita began, and all three puppies reluctantly stopped what they were doing to look up at her obediently. “Today we’re going on a trip. It’ll be a long one, so I’ll alternate carrying you three. We’re going to the beach near another pack, and there you’ll meet… Your father. He doesn’t know we’re coming, so I’m sure he’ll be surprised,” she added, leaving out mention of the fact that he did not even know that they existed. She hoped that he would not be angry, and perhaps that was why she had waited until she could bring their daughters to meet him, as well. It was a shame that Orchid and Iris had died, and Lolita did not know yet whether or not she was even going to tell the Miracles man that two of his children had died. He deserved to know, but he would already be shocked, and maybe it would be better to leave that bit of information out. She was still hurting enough for the both of them.

There were matching looks of confusion on the three girls’ faces. “What’s his name, Momma?” Magnolia spoke up, asking the question that all three puppies wanted to know so desperately. It was a question Lolita had expected, and she should have told them initially. Her daughters were hers alone, and she did not expect Niro to drop his life to help raise them. They did not love one another and never would. “His name is Niro Takekuro. You can call him Niro,” she added, knowing that his surname would be far too difficult for them to pronounce. Maybe they would eventually call him “dad” or “father,” but she did not know if it would be soon. Niro was not actually involved in their lives much at the moment, and perhaps he never would be. Lolita did not want to get their hopes up if he would not be.

“Let’s go, girls,” she said, and the small family began their journey south. It was a long one, slow-moving and with many stops. Lolita had packed some cooked meat in her leather bag, so they stopped at one point so that her daughters could gnaw on the meat. They were still drinking milk, of course, being a month old, but they were beginning to work on eating solid food, as well. It would be good for them. It was afternoon when they reached the beach where she had first met Niro, and Lolita allowed the girls to settle in to play in the sand, one a beautiful rust and white mixture, one a blonde only just darker than her own dream, and one a perfect match for Niro’s coloring. She lifted her muzzle and howled for Niro, then settled in to wait for him while she watched over the three young girls.

"Lolita.""Magnolia.""Poppy.""Foxglove."
