Cour des Miracles had become the home Anann had thought she would never find and there were those she held close enough to consider family. Leaving was not a step she would choose to take lightly. She had already abandoned one home, one life, to better the life of those she had left behind. Yet, somehow she felt it would be harder to leave here. There were more strings that tied directly to her heart. Thoughts of severing them left her feeling cold and hollow. It wasn't that she was running from her problems or the pack. She was only trying to protect those she cared about. She had spoken of such only assure her alpha, her king, that she would not let herself become a danger to those she loved and she had expected he would have understood and accepted the sentiment. The good of the pack was far more important than any one individual. Surely he would agree.
She was taken back by Vigil's order. Jaw slack, she stared at him with these dark eyes of hers. It just didn't make sense to her. After a couple prolonged seconds her eyes averted, jaw now firmly set. She did not agree with him, but he was her king and she would swallow his order. "Yes, my Lord. Understood." There was no sense in arguing the point now anyway. In the end she would follow her heart and do what she felt was right even if it went against the King's orders.
Any bitterness she had felt at the order quickly faded and her thoughts returned to the possibilities of her past sneaking up on her. Silence stretching between the two wolves as her mind pulled over the possibilities. Going over names and faces of those she had once be close to and the likelihood of them seeking her out. But it was thoughts of what happen once they found her that made her blood run cold. "Anatoliy," her concern laced her voice. "If it comes to pass, they cannot learn of Anatoliy, of he and I." A solemn statement. If they did...she could not even bare the thought.
