Sanuye was glad to see that the sun was still shining in the sky when she woke from her slumber. It was still early in the morning, but she was full of energy and ready to get rid of it. She wanted to go out and do something productive, but not right away. Perhaps it was better to relax a bit before she decided to get to her duties. The Great Fire was her duty, but it was burning beautifully so there was no need to tend to it right away. The coyote crawled out of her den and moved over to her fire pit. She wanted to make a quick breakfast but she was already running out of food. The hybrid gave a small sigh and looked over her choices. She didn’t want to go out hunting and figured it was time to try fishing again. She moved over to her fishing pole and grabbed it before heading out to her fishing spot.

Sanuye remembered the last time she was here. She shared this moment with the male named Theodore. He was a charming wolf and treated her with so much kindness even though she was nervous. Perhaps she would be able to meet him again here. The coyote casted out her line and sat on the shore, waiting to see if she would get a bit from any of the bait she let out. Just as always, she couldn’t catch anything. The hybrid couldn’t believe her horrible luck. She wished there was something she could do right besides hanging around the fire all day. She continued to watch for the fish but all of them were swimming away and ignoring her bait. Her ears folded down as she waited in disappointment. She closed her eyes and tried to listen for the fish, though she couldn’t hear nothing.
