Sanuye sighed as she sat at the bank. She probably would have had more luck doing some of her duties instead of sitting here trying to fish. If the female didn’t get a bite soon then she was going to have to give up and find something else to do. For a few minutes the coyote sat there and still got nothing. Just as she was about to give up, she felt her rod being tugged on. She smiled and noticed she had caught a fish. She began to reel it in to see if she would actual catch something. The hybrid pulled the fish out of the water. She was so happy. She was actually able to catch something for once. The female set the fish at her side and replaced the bait on the hook. Perhaps her luck was getting better now.
Sanuye paused when she caught the scent of another AniWaya behind her. She turned her head and noticed there was another tribe mate behind her. Scaring the fish? The coyote shook her head and smiled. ”I’m not scaring the fish. I’m fishing.” She tilted her head to beckon the wolf closer. She wanted to show her about how to fish. She many not have been an expert but she was still able to teach someone the basics of fishing. The hybrid waited for the female to come closer before teaching her.
Once the female came closer, Sanuye cast out the line back into the water. She gave a soft sigh and then watched the water. ”See, you use bait on the hook and the fish come to it. Once you get it in the water, you wait for a fish to bite. Once you got one, you pull up so you get the fish on the hook and reel it in.” The coyote watched the fish swimming around the bait but none were biting yet. She gave a small chuckle as she watched. ”Fishing is like a big waiting game.”
