"Numb" was a sufficient way to sum up how Ehno had been feeling since Haven's visit just days before. There was of course the initial shock, then rage, which was soon turned upon himself. He had let this tragedy befall his children by not being there for them, by not being a good father. Hell, he may have well descended down to the level of his own worthless sire by standing by and letting his son become a monster. Eventually the Marino just arrived at the point where he couldn't feel anything anymore. His mind was so busy trying to process all the rage, grief, and hatred that it just seemed to short circuit.

It was better when he tried not to dwell on the news delivered to him by the Miracles' Knight, but it was a difficult task with the thought always looming in some dark corner of his mind. His family would be able to read him like an open book and they would confront him about it, and when they did, that surge of emotions would come crashing back down on him. He wasn't ready to face that yet, so it was easiest for him to just avoid lingering around Haven Manor whenever possible. The Marino would slink in to sleep and slink back out just as quickly, hoping to avoid his family.

As a result, he was beginning to spend more time around some of the farther landmarks within the pack lands. Today Ehno sought refuge at the site of the old plane crash. It had been some time since the man last visited the wreck, and its features were rather spotty in his memory. He approached the downed aircraft from one side, eyes lingering for a moment on the front portion that was crumpled from the impact. The Dreamer neared it without hesitation, stopping to seat himself on the cold metal of one of the wings. Afternoon was upon the lands, but the cloudy skies gave the sun no opportunities to warm them. It was a clear indication that winter was finally arriving. With that thought, he simply closed his eyes and savored the cool bite of the wind rustling his fur.
