She did not know what made her such a cruel child, but Azalea had always had a heart of stone, as far as she could remember. Even before she could shift and utilize the dexterity of her Optime form, the girl found ways to tease and traumatize anyone around her. She had been known for her cruel tendencies, not a care in the world if she inflicted any pain onto anyone else. She’d laugh her malevolent laugh at the unfortunate souls to cross paths with her, and they’d stare up at her with wide, pleading eyes. IT had always been that way. For as long as she could remember.

The coyote did not offer words in response, but it seemed as if the Rakeeb’s triggers had been successful. The male coiled and sprang for her, and four paws found steady ground to brace herself for the impending attack. The dam broke away, and a mix of adrenaline, anticipation, and callousness flooded the young coal colored girl’s veins. As lips pulled back to reveal gleaming milky fangs, gold eye glinted as light caught them and the girl offered a beckoning growl. She was ready. Oh so ready for a lovely tango.

Perhaps it had been because she had not been loved as a child that she had turned out to be this way. She did not fully remember her first weeks of life, or the reasoning behind her abandonment. The girl had been taken in by another she-wolf and had been raised with this surrogate mother. Even then, she did not feel much attachment or love for her. Azalea grew to become a young adult, and yet she had never really experienced the lives that her ‘siblings’ had. She had always been outcast somehow, different. She was the black sheep. And since it came with negative implications, she had held fast to them. If they wanted a black sheep, they had been given one.

The coyote lunged for her, his size giving him an advantage of Azalea. However, the girl was ready for his attack and aimed to move from the path of his lunging fangs, so that her beautiful appearance may remain intact. Shifting her paws expertly beneath her, Azalea used her weight to throw a counter-attack at Hybrid, hoping to snap at his hinds legs and hopefully throw him off balance. Really, she just wanted to toy with him. But if he wanted a real fight, there was no doubt that she would oblige him.

She had yet to come to the realization that Amadeus and Mackenzie had tossed her away upon her birth. She had four littermates that most likely did not know of her, just as she did not know of them. In a family with beliefs so strong, Azalea could not be permitted to live. She had never been loved, even at birth. It was a pure miracle that she had been found and taken in, but that did not mean she was loved. Who could love the black sheep?

OOC Ending: The encounter escalates into a full blown fight, and both are able to land a couple of hits on one another. While they both leave the scene a little beaten up, the real conclusion of the fight comes when Hybrid manages to inflict some major damage to Azalea’s shoulder. It is then that the Rakeeb retreats for home, and leaves Hybrid the victor.
