Kemo was currently in dreamland, laughing and smiling away with Ralla, though all that could be told of his dream was the subtle twitching of his paws, along with a sudden and unexpected reaching of his paws and pulling Ralla close to him, nuzzling her happily, though he was asleep through all of this. In his dream, they were running together, laughing and smiling, and he could see her, or at least what he imagined she looked like. Happy as can be, convinced that this wasn't a dream, he ran as fast as he could with her, smiling. Suddenly they ran into the trees and dodged between them. It was at that moment that she had gone out of his sight, on the other side of a tree, but didn't come out the other side. He slowed down, his laugh dying a little. "Ralla?" He spoke even outside of his dream, but he didn't know this at the time.
Within seconds he was on the other side of the tree, calling her name wildly as he ran off in the only direction she could have gone, his paws scrambling wildly. As he burst into a clearing, still looking around wildly, he caught sight of a white fluffy tail, a deer's tail, the very same one he had seen on the day his father had taken him to hunt. This glued him to the spot, watching as the deer left and a familiar howl was heard. He whined outside of his dream as he heard a vicious growl behind him, turning slowly to see the same creature that had blinded him, but the monster looked different. Especially its eyes...they were filled with pain...
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" He yelped suddenly as he was struck by the creature, sending him reeling to the ground and he went into a frantic panic attack in the waking world, screaming "No! Why are you doing this? Why can't I fight you back?" It was then that he realized he was a pup, not strong enough to fight against the nightmare. He howled, determined to not go down without a fight, whimpering and fighting off an imaginary attacker in Ralla's view.
