I'll be waiting here to meet you

Her own whimper woke her up from the nightmare. She could still feel her son’s hands around her throat, sharp claws digging into her exposed skin. Under the fur she still bore scars. What had really happened that night? Colibri shook her head and opened her eyes, glad to have managed waking up so quickly, instead of trashing around trapped inside her dreams like usual. She did not want to dwell with the emotions that always bloomed up by the terrible incident approximately one year ago. Strangely a mother’s heart always forgave, at least hers. It was her fault that he had turned out wrong, and she took the full responsibility for that, but it was shush shush, and no one had to know. She got up on her legs and flexed her muscles and gave a great yawn. A moment of confusion went through her system before she recognized the surroundings as the eastern part of Storm. It was still odd thinking herself as a member of the Storm crew. She would eventually get used to it, but she had spent such a long time as a CT wolf that it was odd being back in these lands, but not there in the sorrowful lands of the mist.

She had visited the outskirts of this pack land many times, but she did not claim to know them, because she simply did not. She started moving west towards the center of the land, hoping to run into a stream or river of some sort, as her mouth was unnatural dry. She knew the river that crossed through Storm from the Yahraw river territory, but if she was to get more familiar with the lands, having a goal for her trotting would be good, and she was to find another source of water. Her trot was slow and steady and she was soon in deep thoughts yet again, pondering about all that was wrong in the world, with her, everything. It was foolish staying in the past, but she always had issues letting go, which resulted in her always so depressive mood. It was easier being around beings, putting on the mask and forgetting who and what she really was, a failure. As she was alien to this pack, she did actually hope to run into a member or two.

It was sort of unlikely though, as she had both heard and noticed the lack of pack members. She did not know of the amount of members, but rumors said it was the smallest of the packs. If they wanted to greet her, then they were free, as she made her way slowly into the heart of Storm.

Dying to meet you
