After his encounter with the black armed hybrid, Keese had moved his camp further away from the Cour des Miracles borders. Though it had only brought him closer to yet another pack. He was surprised that were so many packs this close together and yet they didn't seem to have a unified ruling force. Did they not know how much stronger it could make them? Places like Tosawi would be the future of wolf kind. Pack life was such a barbaric existence.
His eye was still swollen shut and he had no way of inspecting the large gash above it. He had not seen the punch coming, though he was not so arrogant to believe that he had no deserved. After all, stepping on toes seemed to be what he did best. He had done his best to keep it clean, but the wound still throbbed and skin there felt quite warm. Throwing some snow in a metal bowl he placed on the coals of his dying fire. Once it melted, he dipped a rag in the still cool water and laid over it his eye.
He left it for a few minutes before removing it and dipping the rag once again. Wringing most of the water from it, he gently wiped at the gash trying to clean the dried blood from the hair around it. Every now and again he would rinse the rag before continuing or take a moment to just the the rag soak over his eye.
