The response remained positive, and the canine’s chin rose slightly in quiet contentment. Thoughts focused mainly on the leg. Conor knew so very little about felines in general, but supposed the healing process should take approximately one month, though the cat was likely to be on its legs before that. A few weeks with ultimate rest before light and careful pressure could be added without risking the leg’s recovery. Audits slowly turned to rest back towards the back of his skull, though it was not a motion to inflict mood. Everything was turning out well and he was quite satisfied with what he had managed to do for the other creature.

The genuine appreciation would be more than enough payment for setting the leg and offering accommodation. Ultimately it was greed that formed his actions, for it made life seem so much better if he could help another creature. Haku had been the demon of death, and Conor desperately reached for life. Shadows would never stop to hunt the man with the heart of spring, but he would remain in the light beyond their reach. The confidence of this was forced, but it was all he had.

There was no other way around this current situation. ”I suppose I’ll have to carry you,” he spoke, readying the feline for the fact that that it was probably already aware of. The impression he generally had for canines was that they were proud and independent creatures, and were probably not likely to like the thought of being cradled and carried like a child, but this was the best and easiest option available for them.
