Out and About and So On

Nuri had so far spent the majority of his time in Souls denned up against the terrible cold that always seemed to have a way of seeping into his bones. His pelt, designed for the much warmer climate of the desert, proved to be completely useless here. Then, just when Nuri had finally gotten used to the weather, the white sand had arrived almost as if to spite him. This sand, unlike the sand of his homeland which was warm with the heat of Re’s love, proved to be cold to the touch draining warmth away from any creature who happened to physically contact it. Nuri’s final action in the battle against the cold was to set out in an attempt to discover a permanent and more suitable living space.

No such luck had happened yet but Nuri did find himself staring at the unmistakable form of a wolf just on what he assumed was the edge of the Cours des Miracles border. The wolf had as yet not seen him ad so Nuri took it upon himself to observe the situation before taking any action. The wolf was young, barely out of adulthood, but as to whether he was of the Cours des Miracles or another group Nuri could honestly not say. After a moment of indecision Nuri decided to approach him, saying, “These are the lands of Cours des Miracles. Who might you be then, and what is your business here if I might ask.”
