all those magical qualities

Animals are friends. Not food.

The pup's wide eyes studied the deer from distance, looking over his bodily features. He was well built with a face that looked like it had been carved from stone. The markings were interesting, as well. He always thought of deers, moose, and those other kinds of creatures as plain animals. Having bland shades of lazy grays and lights browns. But this male was an exception. His antlers were beautiful and proud, sitting atop his head. He didn't even think a full grown wolf would attempt to get him, or even a group of hunting wolves. The boy couldn't even bring himself to think about what it would be like to get a wound from one of those.. He shivered, trying to brush off the revolting thoughts.

He knew better then to try and sneak up on the stud. So while walking towards him he made sure the each small snow pile made a healthy "Crunch!" sound as he walked upon it. With only a few feet of space between them, the pup spoke. "Welcome to Dahlia!" A smile rested on his lips, inviting the creature to respond. Nature was beautiful, but not all of it's animals were as nice as the wolves Range had come to know in Dahlia.
