OOC: Word count: (660) - - Sorry 'bout the delay. Got overloaded with school work temporarily.

Alaki had finally started to settle into his new pack, he had chosen a cave to live in which he deemed hard to find and set himself up with the basic necessities. The whole pack concept was new and strange to him and he found it hard to trust strangers just because they called themselves ‘pack’, try as he might he still found himself wary of everyone he encountered, sure that some disaster or trap would befall him the instant he let his guard down, but nothing had happened and after a few days he had started to relax little by little in his new home. But new surroundings and people were hard for Key to cope with and he found himself need to be on his own, away from his new life, a moment to gather himself again. The most suitable solution to his problems seemed to be a small trip to the nearby neutral territories. He knew he should have asked for a guide, a map or directions but his pride would not allot him to ask for help, resulting in him leaving helplessly unprepared.

Once the decision to leave was made, Alaki left heading towards the neutral territories, relying on his own sense of direction and trusting his own judgment, which lead him to wondering around lost for a few days. All four of his legs ached as he strode across uneven ground, his head low and inattentive in a manner of sulking. Sure, he had wanted alone time, but he had bitten of more than he could chew, he missed the small amount of security his new home offered, he didn’t have to constantly watch his back and keep on the move there. Getting annoyed by his own depressing thoughts he finds a comfy spot on the ground to rest upon. His breath white puffs of air, loud and deep, he was exhausted. The area around him was pleasant and quiet and more importantly there seemed to be no immediate threats. As he traveled further the plains had been slowly become more and more sandy with more rocks scattered here and there, the soft breeze carried the scent of the ocean.

After reassuring himself a few more times, checking for escape routes and deducing where an enemy was most likely to come from he allowed himself to slowly loosen his tensed, aching muscles, allowing them to rest for a moment. A bird’s cry could be heard above, a high pitched squeal far away. Titling his head in the direction of the sound Key stopped halfway, in the distance was a building and from the looks of it, it was a tall one. The bird and his plans to rest long forgotten, he rose to his feet quickly and headed in the direction of the building. Judging from its size and the way it stood so clearly in the distance, it should be tall, allowing him to check out that area which may possibly give him a clue to where he was.

After walking for a time, Key found himself treading through sand, the small grains catching between his paws, burrowing themselves into his fur and irritating him. He could see that the building was on a separate island and to get there he would have to get wet. Not his idea of fun, but now that he could see the building better his curiosity had piqued.

Weaving his body through the water he reached the small island and continued to make his way to the building, once inside all he could see was stairs and a lot of them. He looked at the stairs then slowly flexed his legs one by one. “This is gonna be fun” he complained under his breath.

Noisily making his way up the seemingly endless stairs he reached the top and collapsed in a heap, breathing heavy and hard, tongue hanging out. He was out of breath and aching all over.
