Xeris studied the male before her, watching him as he remained silent. He was a bit stubborn, she thought, unwilling to accept the things she had said to him. Or perhaps, deep down, he was scared too. She also remained quiet for a moment, thinking about what she should say next. For a moment her golden eyes cast their gaze toward the cold sand below them as their owner sat in thought.
She was truly at a loss for words now. He had put her in a dangerous situation, quite literally, and she didn't want to say anything that might upset him. Finally she opened her mouth to speak once more. "You may not believe me, but I hope you'll at least think about what I've said." She paused again, waiting for his response and hoping that she was not met by more silence. "Can I at least know your name?"
