Bleat your heart out!

637 words. Forward-dated to January 10th, perhaps? After all that CdA drama. Also - GOATZ.

Snow crunched under the craftsman's feet, making more noise than he wanted to hear right now. His large ears were flattened against his head as best as he could get them, but the noises of his two findings still got to him. The Guffawri male had found two young goats, wandering by not far from the pack. He wasn't sure if they belonged to another pack, he did certainly smell a few different wolves on them... but hey, finders keepers. The coyote mix sneaked in with two rope holsters he happened to have on his person (honestly, this coywolf carries everything), and, like a wolf who takes sheep, Bangle took goats.

Presently he was walking with them back to Cercatori. Back to his pack. He smiled for a moment, never once was he able to call a pack his own, and say it with pride. His heart thumped in his chest when he thought about the russet haired female that had mostly made it all possible. He was lucky he had found two goats, and not just one. All along he intended to sell one, to.. whoever wanted a goat, really. And he hoped, for a moment, that Skye might not object to him keeping one... on the condition that he didn't skin the poor thing.

His grin grew wider on his muzzle, and shook his head. She knew him well, though he had only been in the pack for a season or two. Maybe he should sell the other, pairs did have a tendency to go for a higher price, after all. But as his thoughts dwindled, the bleating of the goats erupted in his ears, urging their captor to let them go. Their horns were still small, and though one tried to butt him in the calf, Bangle wasn't about to let them go. He stopped, turned, and wagged at the attacking goat. "Now now, behave. Or this coywolf will skin ya!" He said, leaning in and grinning a very strange and creepy grin at the goats. It didn't help, they kept on bleating into the cold winter air.

"Would ya STOP that?!" He said, suddenly yelling at the scared little goats. What Bangle didn't expect, however, was for their legs to suddenly stiffen up, and their bodies topple sideways to the ground. It only lasted a couple seconds, and as the goats struggled to get up once more, Bangle stared. Slowly, but surely, a smile emerged, and soon it erupted into a full blown guffaw, his well known laugh that had gotten him in trouble countless times.

He had to double over to keep from laughing, but the traveler still felt his eyes water from hilarity. When he quieted down, his stomach now aching from the chuckle, he looked at the two goats. They had stopped bleating, at least not as loud and as often as they had seconds ago, and they stared at their captor with large and confused eyes. "Hah! I don' believe it," he said aloud to the goats. "A pair a goats that are chicken!" He mused, regaining his composure and smiling down at the two hoofed creatures.

But then Bangle did it again, to be sure he wasn't dreaming. He stood there for a moment, looking away at the creatures, then, suddenly, he opened his eyes and mouth wide, twisting and leaning his upper body towards them. "BOO!" And, just like before, the goats' legs stiffed up and they fell over. They bleated in protest, but in a few moments, one got up, followed by the other. Bangle chuckled much like a hyena, then, only wondering what conditions these poor things are in. Of course, these.. fainting goats.. would also bring in a pretty penny. Who could resist meat on four legs that fell over when you scared them?
