A cold evening compared to the unusually warm weather they'd been experiencing lately. Her breath came in wisps of vapor that floated around her head then eventually evaporated into the passing breeze. It was a cloudy night, so she could barely see the billions of stars twinkling up above, but by instinct she could pinpoint where constellations like Orion and Gemini were.. It was part of Chenoa's genetic makeup - this love of celestial bodies. The strange yet beautiful thing about the night sky was, no matter where you went, it was all the same. Looking up at the inky black sky, she felt reassured. Despite being in a land where everything was unfamiliar and cold, she had one reassurance; the big dipper's constant presence. Exerting a sigh of relief as she averted her fiery gaze away from the fuzzy heavens, Chenoa took the chance to glance around a bit. There wasn't anything exceptionally different or unique about Jaded Shadows - it really looked like any other pack land she'd seen. The unfamiliar aroma of scents, an invisible boundary line, ample amount of trees...everything was just like it always was.

Steadily, the Luperci took a seat upon the bitterly cold ground. She was just outside the borders and knew better than to go any further, yet the urge to explore was coursing through her veins like wild fire. Bright eyes cast about, alighting momentarily on a particularly dark patch of brush. She could have sworn she'd seen it rustle only moments ago... Perhaps she was beginning to lose her sanity; such wouldn't have surprised her. The female had been traveling long enough on her own to warrant such a reclused, perhaps psychotic nature. After all, Chenoa had a habit of talking to herself and acting a bit...off at times. She'd always been rather different, though, ever since birth. The past, however, was dead to her now. This was her present; Jaded Shadows and the wolves of Bleeding Souls. She wasn't necessarily "in" yet, but Onawa was confident in her ability to wow even the harshest Alpha.

After all, hadn't she had her fair share of trying border situations in the past? Her cold lips cracked into a half-smirk at this thought, rather humored by the way her pernicious behavior had ended up working wonders for her in the long run. It seemed that bad streaks weren't always the bane of everyone's existence. Although Chenoa was what many would call a grumpy odd ball, she made up for the former adjective in wit. Ever the quick thinker and executioner, the tawny female really did have a few surprises up her sleeve (so to speak). Not many would expect such from a girl who mostly kept her head up in the clouds, lost in thought and oblivious to others. There was something different about this one though; perhaps it was her fire engine red eyes or the clumsy way in which she walked. Either way, no one could argue Chenoa wasn't quirky.
