Alyssum's lips twitched as if they wanted to be pulled up at the corners as Itzal seemed to notice her before she shifted and was now smiling as she approach, but it seemed that she did not have the power to turn into a smile. But, the ghost of the smile disappeared as the boy's face first turned into confusion, and then she too looked confused. Was she overly dressed, or did she do something to throw him off? Then, she flinched as he started to growl all of a sudden, making her ears press against her head. He got up rather quirky, and cleared the rest of the distance between them, which left Alyssum even more questioning. Was she about to get attacked or something?
But, rather getting attacked with tooth and claw, she was tackled with abrupt questions. "Who did it? Are you ok?" It seemed that Itzal had caught the wound that she tried to hide. She tucked a piece of loose hair that hung in her face away from her view, giving her a mind to quiet her annoyance at the boy's concern. He was acting as if she fell from a tree and then got ran over by a stampede of horses, with the way he was pacing to calm himself. "Look, its only a scratch. Its not like its going to kill me,"she muttered, trying to keep the annoyed tone out of her voice. She was never really cared for whenever she got injured, since she'd gotten a lot of bumps from when she was a pup, and her mother did not usually make an unnecessary fuss over a tiny scratch.
Alyssum was at first quiet at Itzal's question, and answered,"Nah. I just don't like it." She walked after the black hybrid without another word, her blue eyes staring hard at the ground. She had hoped to hunt despite of her painful shoulder, but now that she was in Optime form, she was unable to. She had no weapons with her, and this form was the slowest of the most, so she couldn't catch prey by chasing after it. She would be a worse hunter than a one-legged badger, and she did not know what use she could be now on this hunting trip. Alyssum thought about just turning around and go back to the caves to sulk, but she decided to stay with Itzal and at least keep him company.
