I've Been A Bad Boy
#12
[html]

This boy continued to speak, answering his question with more useless dribble. Larkspur watched him silently, orange eyes full of a detached hatred. It seemed his painted companion was unused to the dark wolf’s manner of speaking. Good. The Tuyul disliked idle chat and the tone he heard within it. A low growl rumbled from his chest, but outward aggression was otherwise held back as the stranger went back into the water.

Naniko might allow such weakness in her borders, but Larkspur was not fond of it. He snatched up the fish with one hand and returned to his horse, bridling and mounting quickly. With that the wolf was off, finding no further use from the fool-boy who had provided the fish he would hand over to his children.
