Everything that happened had been nothing but a buzz in all of the pack, she’d just finished stitching up Jazper when she thought of the bear, and Denali had pleaded her to find her and make sure that she was ok. He’d called her Malachi and she kept saying the name in her head… he’d called her the deformed wolf, that she deserved to live, and she realy was such a nice wolf, Savina seemed to have overreacted, but remembering the story of her grandmother’s death, the one she was named after, made her understand why her own mother had tried to kill the bear. She found herself following the scent of the blood of the bear as though she was leaving breadcrumbs along the way to where she slept. That wasn’t the only evidence, she knew she was getting much closer when she heard the cry of the poor animal. Hurrying along she shouldered her medicine bag and made her way through the thick trees, trying not to trip over any of the roots.

The bear, if her injuries were what she was told, had a limited time before she would die of blood loss and then it would be impossible to save her, but Amata was on top of things, as she found the hulking shape laying now, trying to accept the inevitable, but Amata wouldn’t accept it for anything. Her paws had already had some blood stains from Jazper so as she bent down to make sure that Malachi truly was still alive she found she was getting even more bloodier from the mess that Malachi was leaving.

Malachi? I was told to come tend to you by Denali, I hope you don’t mind me touching you, I will try not to hurt you but you have some pretty bad wounds.

Her voice was soft and reassuring. She wanted the bear to be as comfortable as possible. She didn’t want any mistakes or any fear to hurt her. she knew first hand how a bear would lash out automatically, an instinct they could barely control.
