366 words. Left AW for any Anathema wolves who want to either scare Talitha off or meet someone new; Talitha doesn't know about the recent unpleasantness between Anathema and Inferni yet.
Made for Alakiawesomeface!

Dated back to January 23rd, 2011; around noon.

It felt good, being home. Even if she didn't stay there during the day, it still felt good knowing she would go back to it later. That she would be able to have her own space, her own family, her place in the world of Inferni.

As it was, she wanted time to think without distraction; as quickly as she woke from her room in the D'Neville Mansion, moved from the grounds in an attempt to find solace somewhere else. Her bipedal form moved smoothly, with graceful steps that took her to the borders of the territory. Where would she go to think? Where could she go that no one would find her?

Her body twitched as she allowed the change from her lanky bipedal form into the four-legged one that her father preferred. Her hind legs grew shorter, causing her to hunch forward as her arms followed suit; her hands grew smaller, thinner, with the fingers lining up so close together that they almost didn't look different from one another. Her body became smaller, more linear. The final touch, once everything was in place, was her fur; the long locks of hair she let loose spread out into a shorter mane of coarse coyote fur.

It was better to run that way, at least for her. She moved faster, fit in smaller places. And that was what she did. As soon as she felt the last strange sensations of her body contracting into its natural form, she was off in a mad dash across the land. She didn't know where she was going, or where she'd end up. All she wanted to do was run and clear her head.

When she finally came to a slow stop, a new scent was in the air. A heavy scent, a familiar and yet so different scent. She had come near a pack. What pack? She cast crimson eyes around the region, ears falling back against her small coyote skull; where was it? She saw no signs, no life across the expanse of land. With careful footsteps, she paced the border, sniffing warily at the air. Danger was always a possibility.
