The powerful male padded along the ground with weary paws, his ebony-furred tail hanging listlessly behind him. This land was empty... He had caught no scent of any luperci for miles around. His icy blue eyes narrowed, white-tipped ears swiveling around to try and locate any kind of noise in this deafening silence.
There... finally, a sound. Slay's black lips parted into an easy-going grin as he broke into a loping run, his tongue panting in the brisk air. At long last, he had reached the coast. The ocean... His wandering had taken him to the far side of the continent.
"That should be far enough away from home," he rumbled with a chuckle, a pleased light shining in his gaze as he slowed to a halt. And sure enough, in the cold wet sand he found pawprints leading onwards...
