The wind was feeling playful today, but it was strong enough to pose a threat to the smaller in habitants of Anathema. There were quite a few of them now and Teddy had heard that there would be more soon. He wasnt a puppy kind of guy, didnt enjoy being kind to them because they got upset with his gruff manner. So he stayed away from them most of the time. Of course, living in a pack with a few of them made complete avoidal impossible. But he managed pretty well to stay away from most of them. The beach was a nice place to sit and think, which also wasnt a very nice pass time for the man. He wasnt big on thinking- he was an acting kind of guy. He was impulsive and often rude, loud and brash about what he wanted and where he wanted to be.

So finding the young Marbas out on the sands, blue eyes pensieve as he gazed out to the tumultuous sea was an odd phenomenom. A few large boulders scattered across the beach that Anathema had only recently laid claim to and the warrior had taken the time out of his busy day to sit and stare for a moment. He had in fact been patrolling out here when the relentless sea had caught his gaze. A dead penguin had been caught in a swirl of tides, its body thrown back and forward with no pattern to the movement. The finality of it all had caught the warrior and he had perched on a rock for a better view point.

The events of the past few weeks were beginning to weigh on his head. Not because he regretted his actions or the actions of his leader. Killing a coyote for coming on their lands was common protocol as far as he was concerned. And dealing with the consequences, in the form of Inferni's highest ranked members paying them a visit, was not really any sweat either. It was more to do with the settled feeling in Teddy. He was settled and he didnt know what to think about it. He had a pack to protect, with many vulnerable inhabitants not old enough to now up from down. He was beginning to move up in the ranks, make something of himself and tie him more thoroughly to the pack. The man who had wandered the wilderness for nearly a year of his life had finally found something worth fighting for. And it bothered the hell out of him.
