[M] - Silence of a Soul

Conor’s way of dealing had advantages and disadvantages, as everything did. The appreciative lines of a smile remained as Jaden’s words said that he envied this sense. Perhaps it was merely politeness that brought such words forth, or maybe it was genuinely spoken. The Dahlian was a skilled peace keeper, but what would he have done in times of war? How would he have dealt with insistent conflict? No matter how much he wished for a better world, there were many that did not agree with his perspectives and it was impossible to please all. Larkspur had seemed to admire Haku as a leader and called the demon’s son weak without a spine. He could to some degree understand what the black man had meant, but his soul did not wish to bend that way.

Jaden had no debt he was required to pay, but if the man thought so himself then Conor would keep him to it. He had just made another ally in this world, and he did not doubt taking action any longer. The tea offer was gently declined, and Conor nodded, understanding. ”So they say.” Was it pain that had eventually helped the young Soul male to get up and away from his father’s looming shadow? Was that where he had gotten his strength? Ears perked at a name he recognized. Conor had never had the pleasure to meet Vigilante, but he was fairly certain he knew where the man was located. There was a man by that name that led one of the neighbouring packs; Cour des Miracles.

”There is a Vigilante Haskel living in a nearby pack with the name Cour des Miracles. If you continue south you will eventually arrive at their borders.” No doubt that would be helpful if Jaden wished to seek out his old friend.
