Conor nodded again; understood the fuel that urged the other to continue his journey. If it was the same Vigilance as he sought, Jaden was close to finishing his journey. Eyes dropped to the still form of the giant, but he was no longer tormented by the doubt. The type of personality he was faced with soothed him; made him certain that he had made the right choice. This life had been worth living, worth risking his own for. Conor would not ponder about the different outcomes this scene could have ended up with, for everything had turned right now. The Dahlian would remain worried about Jaden’s wounds, but the other seemed well capable of handling it himself.

”I understand,” he spoke, knowing that this was a goodbye. He wondered if their paths would cross in the future, but he was not one to predict. ”I hope you find some answers,” he said, voice soft and quiet. ”Be safe,” That was all the man would need for his departure. Conor remained curious about the scene, but turned his back to it and walked away. It would only have been proper to bury the dead giant, but the Dahlian did not have the mindset of an angel. He wished to be gone; gone from blood and corpses. There was a beast inside him, and the stench of metal seemed to feed it.
