Conor bid his farewells and wished Jaden a safe trip. “Good bye Conor.” Was his only answer as the wolf turned to leave. The Alaskan knew the other hadn’t an idea what his true goals where, and it almost felt wrong to lie to such a person. But he had and now he was alive to go about doing what he needed to. There was no look of sympathy or thoughts of burial for Zev from Jaden. The killer had tried to take his life and failed. Uva Atka would now bury him if they could either. He had failed in their eyes and deserved to die. The poor giant died without a single person to morn him. The only mourning he would receive is from the buzzards that would be annoyed when his flesh ran out and would no longer fill their bellies. A cruel death to die.
Jaden did do something though. Looking over his shoulder to make curtain Conor was no longer watching, he looked at the body and spit in disgust. He felt no connection to his former pack any longer and would kill all of them if he had the chance. Once he dealt with Vigilante, they would not come and Jaden would be free to himself. Perhaps, if he was successful and not killed, he would visit Dahlia de Mia once more on his way out of the territory. But who knew where the winding roads of life would deliver him in the future.
