sneaky eclipse is sneaky!
Eclipse was not asleep, she wanted her mommy to think that because she just wanted a little time to think and see what the grown ups did when they thought she was sleeping, but it was boring stuff but when she saw that her mommy had checked on her and then she went to put something on and left she got up as quietly as she could and was out the door behind her mommy. She almost regretted it, as the wind whipped around her. She wanted to know what mommy was up to though so she followed, she was slowed down a bit by the wind and the gusting snow, but she was still able to get to where her mommy was.
She couldn’t see everything around her, she had one thing on her mind now, and because her home was behind her and her mommy was close, she could easily catch up to mommy and be safe. She hurried through the snow but didn’t find her mommy until she heard her calling out someone’s name. then she saw the red glow and soon saw the fire rising up through the building that lay before her, it was scary and yet amazing at the same time, but it was more scary than anything. She wasn’t going to show it though.
Mommy, what’s happening, why is the fire there!
She said as she caught up with her mommy, her tail was now tucked between her legs and she was not cowering, but showing that she did make a big mistake in leaving the really nice warm house to venture out here just to see what her mommy was doing. Sometimes it was best not to let her curiosity to get the better of her. It was too late now though and she was stuck out here, and it seemed her mommy thought there was someone in there, and she was even considering going inside to save the wolf, but she thought better of it, what if the wolf was as big as mommy… or even daddy? No she couldn’t save anyone… not yet at least. She knew some of her limits at least.
