Burn Bright or Cold will Triumph

Amata had been on her watch with Artemis. Nothing was changing and she was feeling the despair in the whole house was giving off. Her mother who rarely left the little girls side told her to stretch out a little. As they were stuck in the house due to the storm she would call after her or Cambria if there was any change. Amata obediently obliged, finding herself in the hall unsure of what to do. That was when she heard the question her sister asked, and she moved into the room where the large fire usually was burning lively, but now it was nothing more than embers, if those could be called Embers… and she understood what the question meant. She bit her lip for a second, looking around.

We need to find wooden things we don’t use, even books if there are any.

It hurt her to mention books, but they were burnable and she’d rather stay warm than freeze. She knew how it was to be cold, she’d spent a lot of time out in the cold finding what she could to keep warm out in the open elements. She looke around and then up. Turning to her sister and Anu.

Maybe there’s some extra chairs upstairs or something that’s old that we don’t use.

She suggested, but she wasn’t going to be the first out of the room to actually grab anything until someone else initiated the find. She was just the one with the suggestion.
