Why does it always rain on me

Ruby hues widened as she was scooped up into his arms, but she made no attempt to fight it. She wouldn’t have to walk on her red weeping foot anymore, and everything this male did was acceptable to her. She was immediately conscious of how this had to look in the eyes of others, but they were alone and although she was the dependable and strong warrior of Inferni, she was still a female that appreciated the compassion shown by the person she adored most in the world. When the brief moment of surprise faded, she had to smile as she leant her cheek against the hard warmth of the Russian’s collarbone.

The rodent remained cuddled up in her hands, but she was less focused on the small life now and more on the multihued male carrying her down the hallway and to his bedroom. They had seen little of each other’s rooms and the images jumping to her mind included the wolf Mati and the scene the clan woman had managed to stir up as she had completely misinterpreted the scene. It was a good memory, sort of, because it had led to an interesting interaction between the two that had completely surprised her back then. She was not as uncertain of herself anymore as she had been back then, but things were still broken because of her.

Once she was put down in the maroon chair, she grimaced slightly at his offer to use his bandana to warm up the cold rodent. It was a lovely gesture and she accepted with a soft ”Thank you.” She did not like feeling useless like this, to have the kind male do all of this for her. She was accustomed to complete independence. Perhaps to a point where it could almost be considered a weakness. But it was Silas and she should just be happy he was here for her. And she was; she definitely was. She remained still as he investigated the injured foot, and had to think when he asked if there was a medic in the mansion. ”I think Enkiel is.. he lives in the guesthouse,” But she was not certain of this.

She did her best to push her full attention over to the rodent as the other optime moved and started to bandage her foot after retrieving some cloth. The extra amount of stabbing pain from the gentle pressure was impressive to say the least, but she did not want to writhe and squirm in the presence of this individual. Her breath turned sharp and strained to be sure, but that was all she was willing to give. The little creature cradled in her lap stirred, and the fact that her room was ruined was not so unbearable anymore. Rubies turned to the male’s handsome face, warm and lingering.

”You're.. you’re such a kind person. You didn’t have to do all this..” Oh, if she just had known how to put her feelings into words. But it was difficult for her, and she didn’t know how she could reveal to Silas just how much this meant to her. And even more difficult: how much he meant to her.
