Word Count → 390 :: Hoorah! <3

The footsteps resulted in the arrival of Enkiel who, right away, went to Halo’s side to examine her foot. While the capable medic tended to the wound, Silas found himself feeling rather apprehensive, and the male paced from the doorway over to where the armchair was situated, and back again. He knew that her injury wasn’t serious and that she would be alright in the end, but somehow Silas could not be still until Halo was taken care of. He hated that he didn’t have the knowledge to tend to her wound, but he tried to reassure himself that it didn’t matter, since he had been successful in alerting Enkiel to the situation regardless.

When the medic was finished, Silas offered his thanks for a job well done and such a prompt response. Now that Enkiel had dismissed himself, Silas was able to allow himself to sit, and moved over to take a seat on his bed. The bandage that now adorned Halo’s foot looked much cleaner and about ten times more professional, but Silas barely acknowledged the small hint of envy that flared. He was glad the princess was alright, and did not want to acknowledge what could have happened if Halo had been caught by some of the falling debris like her poor rodent had.

"You should let your foot rest," he responded, nodding in agreement. In truth, he didn’t want Halo to repair the roof at all, for several reasons; it scared him to think of the girl traipsing around D’Neville’s rooftop which was so high up, and he didn’t want her to have to leave his room. This, of course, sparked an idea in the male, to which he couldn’t help but let the signs of a smile begin to blossom. "You can stay vith me until zhe storm ees over and your room ees fixed, eef you vant." Icy blue eyes were hopeful, and the Russian could only hope that she wouldn’t think of taking one of the other vacant rooms (for there were plenty). If anything, this was the perfect excuse to get her closer to him. He had missed her after their last awkward encounter, and it had left Silas wondering if he had done something wrong. Maybe this would be the opportunity to repair things. That is, if the Inferni princess agreed.
