Silas’ continuous concern still warmed the princess forlorn heart, but as always, the always lingering uncertainty between the two of them sought to suffocate her. Things would never make sense in his presence, and perhaps that was secretly one of the many reasons why it was this male that her eyes loved to linger on. He had so many brilliant qualities, and the ones she had did not matter that much. She was a creature of war, and he was not. She wished she could be more like him, but she knew in her heart that she was not likely to manage to change to the better for him. She had never been a good little girl, and there was too much conflict within her to allow her to find peace.

But couldn’t they work through their issues? She knew that it was her that was holding them back. He still cared for her, didn’t he? His behaviour suggested nothing else, and the woman’s feeling for him had not changed despite these months of separation. She was a pathetic fool, but he could still be bothered to look at her. She nodded along with him. Rest was an overall effective remedy for most things, but the real question was where she should rest from now on. She couldn’t live in her room yet, and the thought of moving into another one straight away just.. wasn’t that attractive. She did not want to be forced into finding temporary solutions. Things were supposed to happen in a pace she was comfortable with.

The male spoke, and she found that she was genuinely surprised at the words he chose. A soft blush crept up on her high cheeks at the thought, and her chest felt just a little bit softer. She looked to the icy colours of his eyes and could not detect anything but honesty there. It was an offer she would normally have turned down in an instant because of her need to show her independence, but she adored the offer endlessly. And in her current condition the only reasonable response would have to accept. A hopeful smile embraced her lips, nervous though full of glee. ”Would you be okay with that?” It was silly to ask, for he probably was since he had been the one coming with the offer, but there was no trace of her usual confidence whenever she was near Silas.
