Did he detect a trace of excitement amongst her features? Somehow as the Russian awaited her response, he swore he saw a hint of hope in her expression. Could it be that the princess was excited by his offer? He was most likely reading into too things way too much, but the boy couldn’t help but cling to this hope. Maybe she did want to be with him after all! Maybe he hadn’t ruined things as much as he had thought. It was so hard for him to tell with Halo. She constantly kept Silas guessing, since she was so hard to figure out; but perhaps this was one of the things he liked most about her. He had been told before that love could mess with your head, and he was most certainly convinced that it was love that he felt for the Lykoi woman.
"Of course I vould," he told her in response, trying desperately to keep his excitement contained. Suddenly the rest of the mansion seemed to disintegrate, and Silas only had eyes for his bedroom and the woman who was in it. Just like before, the rest of the world didn’t matter. If she decided to stay here with him, it would be like this all the time. Oh how that thought made his heart soar; if only his ribcage did not keep it contained!

His words were sincere of course, but he couldn’t doubt that his plan had also spawned from selfishness. Of course he would do anything for Halo to make sure that she was comfortable, but mostly he wanted her here in his room for his pleasure. Was that horrible of him?
"Your velcome to stay as long as you vant," he added, hoping that maybe she would decide never to find her own room again. Maybe they’d be together at last.
