Though many had responded to his initial call for everyone to congregate at the hotel, and many others had responded in other ways, such as the group that went to dig out the stables and the group that went to look for supplies, the King had noticed four absences more than any. Kambujiya had not turned up, and the King had noted that he had not seen his adopted son for a few days now. The dog mutt hoped that he was huddled up somewhere safe and would turn up, for he would not be able to forgive himself if something were to happen to the boy. He almost hoped that, if they did not find him or if he did not turn up, that he would be missing indefinitely. It would be better, he could only think, if Kam had gone off on his own than it would be if they found his body frozen in the snow. The male shook his head, clearing away that thought. It was much too awful to think about, so he would begin his search for the boy as soon as he could. As long as they did not find him frozen in the snow...

The other three absences that stood out to him the most were obvious. Amaranth, Niro, and Magnolia had not come when he had called for the pack to gather at the hotel, nor had they come any of the times he called again in hopes that others who did not show up would finally come. Their home was a cave near the ocean, and the King did not know how stable or safe it was. Vigilante was determined to find them, both for their sakes and his own, as well as his mate's. He knew that Ayita and Amaranth did not have an amazing relationship, but he loved his daughter (for he had ceased to think of her as his adopted daughter long ago), and he would not allow her to stay lost any longer. The King thought of Niro as a great asset to the pack, and Magnolia was his great-niece. He could not allow any of them to perish in this snow storm that continued to rage outside.

The members of the pack that had not responded to the King's call were more numerous than simply Kambujiya, Amaranth, Niro, and Magnolia, but their absences were the ones that affected him more greatly than any of the others. They were family, and the noble male would not remain where he was and simply hope that they were safe. He stepped outside, thick fur and the bulkiness of his secui form helping to protect him against the wind and snow and cold a bit. It was time for him to go searching for the members of his family that were missing, as well as any other members that were missing from the groups of canines that had been in and out of the hotel over the past two days. He lifted his dark muzzle to the sky, asking for anyone who would want to help in looking for those that were lost.

When it appeared that no one else would be arriving, the dog mutt looked to them all. "Though it is still snowing, it has come time to look for those members that might be missing. Kambujiya, Amaranth, Niro, and his young daughter Magnolia are all missing. They are surely not the only ones. Have any of you noted any absences?" he asked them. It would be good to have a goal and a list of potential missing members before they began to search for them.
