The one with the wolf in the water

Being called a monster was not very nice, but the boy’s rump continued to shake regardless, for he was infected with childish enthusiasm. He turned from his father’s leg and charged at his paler sister instead, teeth unreservedly bared. He could pretend to be a monster for a little while. It was a role he was familiar with, for he did not possess enough speed to be the one being chased. Dull green hues flickered to his father as he commented on the monster part. ”Why not?”

Of course, it would be much more fun to hear about a true monster instead of pretending to be one. Poking his snout against Wretch’s pale face, he turned to toss all attention over to his father. Stories could be frightening at times, but the young boy was unable to resist. Nodding eagerly, the boy stumbled over to his sire, clumsily seeking the best spot in the man’s lap for some exciting story telling.
