Valinta and J'adore had decided to go out and look for some animals that had escaped, or just to see if some did or not. She still hurt from the loss of her child, but the ebony colored woman knew when to put her own feelings aside for the good of the pack. She couldn't help but wonder, though, why she had been given something and had it so quickly taken away.

Valinta quickly wiped her eyes before J'adore could see the tears glittering in them, or before those same tears would turn treacherous and freeze in her fur. She knew from expirience that frozen fur was not fun, at all. Wrapping her fingers in Dalmatian's mane, Valinta smiled as the stallion knickered. He didn't want to go out in the cold, but he had too. The snow was simply too high for Valinta to walk through. Or she was just too short.

But since she managed to only reach the extremely tall height of four feet five inches, Valinta couldn't walk through snow that was at the four foot point. The woman didn't even like snow in the first place, and since she was riding Dalmatian, only had to tolerate it hitting her ankles.

So this is what tall people feel like! Valinta thought cheerfully to herself. Snow only reaching their ankles or knees instead of knees or waist. It must be paradise for them! Valinta sighed as she idly stroked Dali's neck. He shook his head as he knickered again, and made a point to be sassy.

"You silly little boy." Valinta whispered by his ear. She giggled and petted his neck again before lightly slapping him on the rump for some more speed. Valinta wanted to ignore the sadness she still had for her dead child, and just enjoy her day with J'adore.

Valinta does. "Valinta speaks." Valinta thinks.
