Hearing the female's desperate cries, he kicked the horse into gallop. As the approched the beach, 'Quera skidded on the sand, J'adore jumped off and shifted while rushing towards his woman. It was an unethical painfull way to shift, but loosing Valinta after loosing Gloria would be worse.
He croached on the rocks, the jagged edge stabbing his chest as he did, but he managed to pull her up easily enough.
Not noticing the pup in her arms, he pulled he in closer. Wrapping hi dry body around her half soaked one.
The pup made softy sqeaking sort of sound, cause J'adore to loosen his grip and stared at the frozen ball of black fur, which Valinta held close to her chest. His ears dangled infront of his eyes, which was a deep blue-black. 'That was a quick 60 days...' he commented, his hand hovering over the boy pup. 'I don't even remember...' he said whispering the last part into the black females ear with a devilish smile.
He had shifted before pulling the pair up, so reaching for the bag that was still around his shoulder and waist, he pulled out the blanket he kept in there. He wrapped it around Valinta, between himself and her back, before making sure the pup was well covered.
It was funny this pup was a stranger... yet he felt the same compassion he felt when he looked at Gloria. Valinta would no doubt adopt him into their tiny family. He had no complaints about it, but it only bothered him that his future mate may still not be able to cope after the storm.
