Though she was not alone in the duties of parenthood, the young Lady Chance was often very tired and she enjoyed the extra moments of sleep when her mate afforded them to her. Truthfully, she did not know if she was more tired now that the pups were born than she had been during the last few weeks of her pregnancy, but it did not matter, she did not think. Princess loved the three small bundles of life with all of her heart, as did Haven, and that was all that was important now. She still had the same fears that she'd had during her pregnancy, but they were less pronounced, nothing like the day she had panicked and hidden in the grotto, only to be found and comforted by Niro. Being a mother was a bit scary, especially as she did not have much of a role model, but she knew that she would be able to do it. Linden, Robin, and Felicity were nothing short of loved by the young Lady and her Knight.
The young woman rolled over in her sleep, nuzzling against the pillow with a soft and contented sigh. The bed felt empty without her mate beside her, though that was not uncommon in the mornings, as he was usually the one who woke first. For a moment, she simply lay there in peaceful silence, golden eyes closed to the world. She was not worried for the safety of her puppies, as she knew Haven would be with them now while she was asleep. He would never allow anything to happen to them, or to her. The moments were not many that she lay there before she rose, walking quietly down the hall to the living room. She stood just outside the door frame, lithe fingers resting just below her cheek against the frame as she watched her pups and her mate, a lovely smile gracing her petite and delicate muzzle.
