While Ezra was running, he hadn’t paid attention to the sounds of the forest. It used to be so overwhelming, but during the winter the snow had turned the woods into silent beings. On the male’s first run of the spring, however, he noticed it had gotten loud since his last excursion out here. His seaside home had a constant roaring from the sea that made the Marquis forget how hauntingly still the forest could get at times. But today, the realization that the forest was alive was never more apparent. Birds were rejoicing, frogs were finally croaking, and the first insects were determined to make as much noise as possible. Ebony ears twitched back and forth, taking it all in as he drank, heartily enjoying this area. However, one thing didn’t sit right with him. An unfamiliar noise rang out behind him, one that confused the Rosen. Brows furrowed, the male whipped around to investigate what exactly was disturbing the peace.
Ezra instantly spotted the source of the noise, a figure a good distance away. It was clearly a coyote who smelled of a pack foreign to him, but the stranger definitely didn’t seem menacing or a danger to Ezra. Once he realized there was clearly no danger, the wolf-husky let out a quick, friendly bark to announce his presence. Ezra wasn’t entirely sure what the stranger was doing, or why he was making so much noise, but he decided it was worth checking out. “Hello?” Ezra asked, ears alert, bicolored eyes taking in the odd new arrival in front of him.
