On the road again (traveling begining)
#2
Time. It was one of those things that Kami had never really concerned himself with, well at least until today. Making his way across a frozen field with the light of a new day just beginning to show itself across the tree tops the black wolf couldn't help but be a bit angry with himself. Not that anger was unfamiliar to him recently. Kami had been a solitary being for a long time before coming to the Valley, and while the stability of joining a pack had its rewards there had been something missing. Whatever it was it was causing him to be restless, agitated, and a bit more anti social then even his normal self. When he had heard that one of his earliest friends of the Valley was looking for someone to accompany her on a trip to another pack land he had jumped at the opportunity. The idea of traveling again was making Kami about as excited as he was capable of being, which was mild at its best. Not to mention Rendall was the one he would be playing protector and companion to.

A small smirk formed on his dark muzzle as he thought about the wolfess. The original meeting and invitation to her human den was certainly one of the more fond memories he had of the Valley. Especially with all the pain and destruction that seemed to have infected the pack lands in the past few weeks. There had been few good memories made since that blizzard had pushed itself through. Those few nights had been dark times and with his mind lingering on these negative thoughts the smirk which was so rarely seen on the males face quickly disappeared, replaced with the stony stare that usually occupied him. He could see it now, the cabin that Rendall called home was growing larger with every large step of his Secui form. Hopefully the wolfess wouldn't be to upset at his tardiness, but she had not come across as the quick to anger type. " Guess we'll find out won't we." he muttered under his breath, stepping up to the doorway of her home.

Kami did not hesitate to enter the human den as he did on his first visit here. The fear of these old buildings had been mostly replaced by in difference. Rendall was partly at fault for the change in his perception, but the blizzard had forced him to use them on more then one occasion. "I know, I know, I'm late but. . ." he stopped himself as he stepped into the room. The scents and warmth of the home was as inviting as he remembered, even though he hadn't actually been invited in this time. Scolding himself silently as he remembered it was considered rude to enter someone else s home without being told to do so first. " To late now. " he thought to himself as his eyes came to rest upon the black fur of his companion. She was just placing what looked like food into a pack which was a bit of a surprise. Kami was not an owner of many possessions and he had not considered bringing anything other then his own flesh and experience. It was all he had needed in the past to get by and he had not thought they might need anything more.
