The sun has nearly set. The lighting was bad; he always figured this was the hardest time for people to see. Their eyes were adjusting to the low light and the remainder of the sun light could cause eerie illuminations. He picked now just for these reasons. He stalked up silently, his target was a library. He did not take a straight path; instead he kept his impatience in check and took any route that was the easiest to sneak around in. The library was in sight now, he approached from the side. Grateful the windows were boarded up, something he actually helped do. It was almost too perfect, too easy. He only carried a leather muzzle he crafted over the course of this week. It was too small to fit any adult wolf in any form.
He found the window he was looking for. He had to cautiously climbed a snow drift to reach this second floor window. The angle was not the best and he had to reach up further than he would like. He was not getting the leverage he wanted but was able to preform the task at hand. He carefully pushed on the boards, finding the weak spots. His bottom lip curled under his teeth as if that would help the incoming noise he was about to make. He stuck a few fingers through a crack to hold on to a piece of wood and then slammed it forward. The nails creaked and land on the ground with a low ping. This piece did not create much noise. He stopped and listened anyhow. Slowly he stuck his head in and looked around.
