Lupus form, in case you can't tell. :p

Range treadled alongside the strangely coloured river, glancing every once in a while to check for danger. Some of his paranoia had died down.. After all, being on your own required a calm mind. To keep the world around him in perspective, the young male had pushed all his own thoughts aside.

His conscience was the last one to quiet. It spoke of turning back, questioning how healthy it was for him to be alone so soon after his injuries had hardly begun to heal. He could still be easily made into prey by many creatures that inhabited this fantastic forest area.. That, he kept in mind. He was average size for wolves of his age. If anything, he may have even been a bit bigger. His fur seemed to have stopped producing such a thick coat, lightening him up as to help him blend in with the bright colours that would soon caress the forest.

Range stumbled upon the male just as he was finishing his drink. He was not really thirsty, for he had lapped some water from the green creek earlier. But some thing about the scent drew him closer. The smell danced it's way into his nostrils, twirling and spinning as it brushed against every thing it could find. As the boy exhaled, the smell faded. His nose twitched as he struggled to take in as much as he could, dancing the same jig that the sweetness had seemed to do. Letting one of his other senses take over, Range looked at the wolf. He sat leaning against the tree, a variety of strange things scattered near him. The young boy was confused, looking over the items for some sort of sign of what they were. He, of course, was illiterate. The gift of reading had not yet been brought to him, and writing didn't really even seem important at this point in time. Sighing, he used his words to express his confusion. "What's all that?" He asked, gesturing towards the objects with his head.
