come write me a letter and paste it on my refrigerator door

The hybrid's feet scrambled for a hold on the mountain as he slid, hands flailing out to the sides in hope of holding on to some small vestige of balance, while the rocks tumbled below him. The face here was simply a slope down to the next plateau, but his intentions had not been to even go down that way. There was a short gap between where he had been and where he'd been intending to go, and Andre had originally thought that getting a good leap would land him on the next cliff over. He had severely misjudged the gap and had landed on the decline, thankfully still on his feet. He'd stood still for about ten seconds, relaxed, and the minute he moved one foot an inch, the world had gone downward.

The bottoms of his feet burned somewhat from sliding on the sandy stone, but the minute he was close to the plateau, he turned his body full down the mountain and jumped, landing on one knee and likely bruising it severely while his other foot came down and caught him. He winced somewhat at the dull ache, licking his lips at the masochistic pleasure that flooded him for a moment beginning from that banged knee, as his head lifted to observe the clouds that blotted out the sun above.

Beyond there, where the ash still gently coated the mountain from the wildfire north-east of there, spread the New Lands. Andrezej Lykoi could care less for them, but his attempt to clear the mountain and go back for his coveted blade had definitely proved quite impossible. That, in itself, was irritating, to say the least.

Grumbling to himself, he turned in search of a way back down the mountain face, back down to the sand where he had taken up residence in the Waste, there so he could watch the progress of Inferni from a distance.
