Cypress was not one to be mean simply for the fun of it. He did not take pleasure in the pain of others, but he had not yet learned to hold his tongue against words spoken in anger. The day would come when he would realize that those were the words most often regretted. There had been no true meaning behind the words. It was his anger's own reaction to insult suffered from the others harsh words and attitude. It had only seemed natural to lash back at her. There was a sense of victory in the boy as her eyes changed from anger, flooding with new and different emotions. The beginninngs of a smirk began to pull at his lips feeling as if he had bested the sharp tongued princess at last. As if it had all been nothing but a contest of words. His youthful mind quickly forgetting the sensitivity of the argument and that at first he had only wanted to comfort and sooth the silver Dreamer's own anger.
A silver hand struck the dark earthen hues of his face and Cypress merely stared back rather shocked with his mouth agape. After a stunned moment his jaws snapped shut with a click and his eyes fell away as he choked back a deeper, more ominous growl. The hair along his shoulders and neck still standing rigid. It wasn't as if it had hurt, though there was a mild stinging sensation to his cheek. It was enough for the youth to understand that he had taken things too far. "I'm sorry Missa...I did mean it." His head was hung rather low but his eyes dared to search for hers. He was sorry and had he thought he would not have spoken them at all. "You know..", he added a small smile creeping across his face, "you hit like a girl." There was a slight chuckle to his voice as he hoped to change the whole mood and topic of it all. There really was no need for them to be angry at each other. Was there?
