The silver girl had had every right to strike him. His words had been uncalled for. They had been hurtful and in the moment that they had left his tongue he had meant them to be. Sure, he had quickly regretted them, even before her hand struck his cheek. Two wrongs did not make a right perhaps, but at least it made them even. It seemed fair enough in the mind of the blue eyed boy. He shook his head as she started to apologize. ”You shouldn’t be..” He had deserved and with his hurtful words he had asked for as much. It would perhaps only be more fair if the strike had had more of a sting behind it.
Able to make her laugh, though it was as whole hearted as he hoped it might be, his own smile grew. The black tip of his tail twitching in the starting of a wag. On impulse the boy stepped forward and gave the dreaming princess a gentle nudge on the cheek. Followed by a quick lick of his tongue. ”We good?” He asked as pulled back, sitting on his haunches. He assumed that they had moved beyond the little tiff, but he wanted to be sure. He’s actions were nothing more than a jester of comfort and understanding. Yet they left the boy feeling more confused than that and he tried to ignore the burning he felt in his cheeks as he looked across his nose to Missa’s blue eyes.
